Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power - Sigil Hilt

Designed in 2019 at Weta Workshop for The Rings of Power series season 1. The sigil hilt was designed to be a wicked, twisted artifact with an ambiguous purpose while visibly bearing Sauron's unmistakable corruption and malice. The item, evidently functioning as a key, was designed with a blade serrated with notches and bearing long grooves like those on a key. The corkscrew crossguard was designed to lock into a sigil-shaped aperture as it's pressed and twisted down into the keyhole. The sigil shape and pommel was adapted from a previous design by Jeremy Hanna. Great times!
