The Creator - Biohazard Suit

In 2019 we were fortunate enough to work on The Creator for director Gareth Edwards.

Another key piece of costuming for Joshua is the biohazard suit he’s wearing at LA’s Ground Zero, and again in the toxic wasteland No Man’s Land. In keeping with the modular approach, this design used the same base costume as the military, but building it up around the neck, helmet and backpack. This same base was used again for the spacesuit, so we differentiated these by altering the colours and graphics significantly and adding the apron for the biohazard.

The first round started with the team sketching a variety of ideas. Thomas then amalgamated and developed, the different aspects Garth was resonating with into a cohesive design, which then made its way to me to further iterate on and develop into the final design. All done with the help and direction of Jeremy Hanna.
