The Creator - Space Suit

In 2019 we were fortunate enough to work on The Creator for director Gareth Edwards.

Gareth aesthetically leans towards retro-future, a key reference for the spacesuit being those worn by the Apollo 11 crew in 1969. For the spacesuit, we used the same base design as the biohazard and altered the colour to be primarily white with accents of blue and grey.

The first round started with the team sketching a variety of ideas. Thomas then amalgamated and developed, the different aspects Gareth was resonating with into a cohesive design, which then made its way to me to further iterate and develop into the final design. All done with the help and direction of Jeremy Hanna.
