M3GAN Robot head sketch

We did a lot of design work on the actual M3gan robot too. Jared Krichevsky had set the tone early on with preliminary sketches, we then continued the journey offering further iterations, finessing the look, and working up all components in careful detail. As an addition to the front and back views, this sketch was done to assist the modeling process and give the incredible 3d artist Fabio Paiva something extra to work from.

This drawing even made it into the actual film along with a bunch of costume designs as a bit of set dressing over Gemma’s workbench!
